We are working with a leading automated logistics and distribution operation operating as part of a global manufacturing organisation. The site is a highly automated warehouse environment featuring advanced materials handling systems, conveyor networks and high-speed automation technology.
This is a great opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a structured engineering team working a days-based shift pattern. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving automated conveyor and materials handling systems, ensuring maximum uptime in a fast-paced distribution environment.
This role would suit a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys hands-on fault finding, breakdown response and planned maintenance within a fast-moving automated environment. It is particularly well suited to electrically biased engineers who are confident working on automation, conveyors and industrial electrical systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF A MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance across automated conveyor and materials handling systems

Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime

Diagnose and repair electrical faults (240V / 415V systems)

Carry out basic PLC fault finding and diagnostics support

Maintain accurate records using CMMS systems

Work closely with operations teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime

Support safe and efficient running of automated warehouse systems

Assist with continuous improvement and reliability activities
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS OF A MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)

Strong electrical fault-finding experience in an industrial environment

Experience with automated systems, conveyors or warehouse equipment (desirable)

Basic understanding of PLC systems (advantageous)

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic ability

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-automation environment
BENEFITS OF A MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:

Days only shift pattern: 07:00 – 16:00 / 08:00 – 17:00

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 depending on experiance.
