Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Lincoln | Salary: £56,983.68 basic + quarterly bonus (OTE £60,000+)
We're partnering with a leading global food manufacturer, home to some of the UK's best-loved snack brands, at their highly automated, state-of-the-art site in Lincoln. This is an excellent opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large, well-established engineering team, working with cutting-edge production and packaging machinery on a continental 4-on-4-off shift pattern. Rather than simply reacting to breakdowns, you'll play an active role in improving equipment reliability, supporting engineering projects, and helping drive operational excellence across the site.
This role would suit an engineer looking for an employer that truly invests in its people and rewards them accordingly. With OTE exceeding £60,000 and clear progression routes into Reliability Engineering, Continuous Improvement or Engineering Leadership, this is a strong long-term career move with one of the UK's leading food manufacturers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across high-speed production and packaging equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Leading and supporting root cause analysis to eliminate recurring failures
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that boost plant reliability and performance
- Completing pre- and post-maintenance inspections, and supporting lubrication and PM strategies
- Coaching production teams on autonomous maintenance and equipment care
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and upholding high engineering standards
What We're Looking For
- Apprentice-trained engineer with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
- Electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled maintenance background
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or another automated production environment
- Knowledge of SCADA and CMMS systems is advantageous

- Basic salary of £56,983.68, plus quarterly performance bonus (£325–£750) — OTE exceeding £60,000
