Location; Leicester
We are working with a well-established food manufacturing business in Leicester that is looking to bring in an experienced Welder / Fabricator to carry out remedial works across the site. Following a recent audit, a number of non-conformities have been identified, and this role will see you working closely with the projects team to rectify these through targeted fabrication and welding work in a busy, high-standard production environment.
This is an Outside IR35 contract role, working Monday to Thursday on 10 hour days. You will be MIG or TIG welding stainless steel, carrying out remedial fabrication and welding tasks within a live food manufacturing environment, so a methodical and safety-conscious approach is essential.
This role would suit an experienced Welder / Fabricator with their own equipment, looking for a well-paid contract with genuine longevity, an immediate start, and the stability of four-day working weeks.
Contract Details:
- Outside IR35
- £34.00 per hour
- Monday to Thursday, 10 hour days
- Minimum 6 month contract, likely to extend to around 12 months
- Immediate start available, within the next 2 weeks
Responsibilities of a Welder / Fabricator:
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel to a high standard
- Work closely with the projects team to rectify non-conformities identified via a recent audit
- Complete remedial fabrication and welding works across a live production site
- Read and work from drawings and specifications where required
- Work safely and cleanly within a food manufacturing environment
- Liaise with the projects team and site engineers on progress of works
- Ensure all work meets relevant hygiene, quality and safety standards
Skills & Qualifications of a Welder / Fabricator:
- Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator, ideally within a food or FMCG environment
- Strong MIG and TIG welding skills, with stainless steel experience essential
- Must have your own welding equipment
- Comfortable working to drawings and specifications
- Available to start within the next 2 weeks
