We are working with a well-established food manufacturing business operating within a high-volume FMCG production environment, supplying products into major retail and foodservice markets. The site operates a wide range of production and packaging equipment with strong investment into engineering capability, plant reliability and continuous improvement.

With a fully equipped workshop including mills, lathes and a comprehensive stock of engineering spares, the site is set up to support engineers properly and drive long-term equipment reliability rather than purely reactive maintenance.
The role has become available due to an internal promotion, highlighting the genuine progression opportunities available within the engineering function. This role would suit a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys technical fault finding, continuous improvement and working closely with production teams to improve equipment performance.
Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across food production and packaging equipment

- Support the development and mentoring of engineering apprentices
- Assist with engineering department growth and future improvement projects
- Maintain high engineering and housekeeping standards across the site
