Are you an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer looking for a Monday to Friday days role with a great work-life balance?
We are working with a leading UK food manufacturing business producing some of the nation's favourite snack brands. With continued investment in both its people and facilities, the site is looking to recruit a Site Services Technician to join its established engineering team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer who enjoys a varied role supporting the wider manufacturing operation. Working alongside the Site Services Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining essential site services, ensuring statutory compliance and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Unlike traditional production maintenance roles, this position offers a diverse workload covering electrical maintenance, utilities, compliance and general site services, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities of a Site Services Technician:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site services equipment

Complete statutory inspections and ensure all compliance documentation is accurate and audit-ready

Maintain boilers, compressors, effluent treatment plant, sprinkler systems and fire protection equipment

Support electrical installations, fault finding and repairs across the site

Carry out LOLER inspections and support legionella control procedures

Undertake general building maintenance including basic plumbing, joinery and facilities repairs

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve site reliability and efficiency

Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards
Skills & Qualifications of a Site Services Technician:
-
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential)

Recognised electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 Electrical qualification

City & Guilds 2391 (desirable)

Experience maintaining site services, facilities or manufacturing equipment

Strong electrical fault-finding skills

Good understanding of statutory compliance and planned maintenance

Basic IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

Proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

Basic salary up to £39,000 depending on experience

Monday to Friday days role

Working hours: 08:00 – 16:00
